Battery StorageUpdated 4 hours ago
When storing your TM-B for three months or longer, follow these recommendations to keep the battery in the best condition:
Charge the battery to around 80% before storing.
Disconnect any power cords.
Power off the e-bike. On the Portal’s Walk screen, tap Settings > Power Off. This moves the e-bike from a normal inactive sleep mode to a deep sleep that disconnects the battery from the bike, significantly reducing battery drain.
Note that deep sleep prevents any communication or locking functions.
Check your storage temperature. Make sure the temperature in your storage location won’t exceed the battery’s rated storage and transport range: -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C).
See the TM-B Specifications article for the full environmental spec table.
Waking the e-bike back up
To wake up the e-bike after storage, ensure the battery is installed, then press and release the downtube button under the speaker.
You can also wake the e-bike by charging it from the USB-C port on the downtube.
For day-to-day charging guidance (not long-term storage), see the Charging Your TM-B article.
