Cargo Capacity & TowingUpdated 4 hours ago
TM-B is designed for you to be able to carry what you need with you, from snacks to grocery hauls to children and pets.
Here’s what you need to know:
Strap your cargo down well. Double and triple check that your gear is properly secured to your TM-B’s Front Rack or Utility rack. Use high quality Cargo Straps, and ensure that there’s no play or gaps between your stuff, the strap, and the rack. Check that it does not slide forward or backward easily.
Moving parts. The TM-B has a few of them, namely wheels. Make sure nothing is hanging off your cargo rack where it can become tangled or interfere with the wheels or turning.
Cargo affects handling. Carrying additional cargo changes your center of gravity, braking distance, steering, and cornering.
Keep the total weight of all passengers and cargo under the maximum spec for each component.
Utility Top Frame MIK HD cargo rack maximum load: 77 lbs.
Utility Top Frame maximum load (rider+load) 299 lbs.
TM-B Maximum payload (rider + cargo +passengers + trailer): 324 lbs
See the TM-B Specifications article for more on cargo capabilities.
Trailer mounting is non-drive-side only. Mount trailers to the TM-B’s rear axle on the side that does not have a drive sprocket on it. TM-B rear thru axle measures 12 x 1.75 x 202 mm.
Follow the trailer manufacturer's guidance for attachment and riding.
