Charging Your Battery to Full Before Your First RideUpdated 5 hours ago
Give your TM-B a full charge before your first ride!
During assembly, you'll likely plug in to charge already — here's how to check your progress, whether the battery is on the bike or off.
If the battery is off the bike
Check the small e-ink display on the top of the battery itself — it shows the current state of charge at a glance, even when the battery isn't installed.
If the battery is on the bike
Check the Portal display, which shows your charge level on most screens. Tap the state-of-charge icon on any screen to see your remaining range in miles.
How to charge:
Push up on the round cover on the frame to reveal the USB-C charging port, then plug in the included 240 W USB-C charger. Keep the charging cover closed when not in use.
IMPORTANT: The e-bike won't shift into Ride if a cable is plugged into the frame's USB-C port. If you plug in a cable while riding, the e-bike loses propulsion the next time you stop.
You can also remove the battery and charge it separately using the port marked with the lightning bolt icon — this is the only port that supports bi-directional (device) charging.
