Charging Your TM-BUpdated 4 hours ago

Your TM-B comes with a 240 Watt USB-C charger that delivers 5 amps.

  • To plug the included charger into the TM-B while the battery is installed, push the round cover up to reveal the USB-C port on the frame.

  • *Keep the charging cover closed when not in use.

You can also remove the battery from the TM-B and charge it separately using the port marked with the lightning bolt symbol (the 240 W bi-directional port - see the Battery Overview article for the full port diagram).

IMPORTANT: The e-bike will not shift into Ride if a cable is plugged into the USB-C port. If you plug in a cable while in motion, the e-bike will lose propulsion the next time you come to a stop.

Charge times

See the TM-B Specifications article for full charge-time figures

Cold-weather charging

IMPORTANT: The battery can charge in cold weather above 32°F (0°C), but does not charge above an 80% state of charge in temperatures between 32°F and 50°F (0°C and 10°C).

Charging safety

WARNING — Risk of fire or electric shock:

  • Do not charge the battery overnight.

  • Do not leave the battery unsupervised while charging.

  • Do not cover the battery or block any vents while charging.

  • Only use the USB-C charger included with the TM-B to charge it. Incompatible chargers can damage the battery, cause overheating, or even cause a fire.

  • Do not plug a battery charger into an extension cord. Plug it directly into a socket when charging.

A strong enough impact can damage a battery even if it does not look damaged from the outside.

Protect the battery pack from falls or other damage.

Do not use the battery pack if it has been involved in an accident until it’s been inspected by an ALSO qualified service partner.

SHOCK WARNING — Water ingress and electric shock hazard:

  • Never connect or disconnect charging equipment with wet hands. Do not charge the e-bike or removable battery when the battery, charging port, connector, cable, or charger is wet.

  • If the e-bike or battery has been immersed, flooded, or may have water inside it, stop using it and do not charge it. Contact ALSO Customer Support or an ALSO-qualified service provider for inspection.
